Six moments when Quinn looked like an old Hollywood actress.
There goes my baby(part: two of ?)
Stiles decided since Quinn didn’t show up to their last four classes he would go to her house to see if everything was alright. He knew already that he wasn’t ready to be a father. Who was when they were seniors in high school? Texting his own father and telling him he would be late to come home Stiles jumped into the seat of his jeep and made his way to the other side of town to see Quinn. Along the way he goes in and out of focus before setting his eyes on baby etc, a local place in town for all things related to babies. Choosing to stop, he pulls into and figures looking can’t hurt anything. Thinking back to the conversation that he and Quinn had had at lunch about him not being serious enough. Slowly he starts to realizes that if she is pregnant that it’s not just him any more. It’s not just him and Quinn anymore. He would have a little life to help. To help face their fears. To achieve their dreams. It was a lot to take in. Slowly he walked passed all the baby clothes to the back where there were shelves of stuffed animals. Reaching for a hippo he changes his mind seeing a giraffe. With the idea of taking responsibility over a little life, a little him, he figured it more fitting. Buying it might also make Quinn see he was serious. Or he was willing to try more. He wanted to be there for her. Not her think that she didn’t need him. His own dad did it all on his own, granted the circumstances but he didn’t want that. He wanted this baby to have both parents in it’s life. Realizing he was going to be more late coming home then he wanted he quickly payed for the giraffe and made his way to Quinn’s house. Once there he didn’t bother waiting for her mom’s okay to go upstairs he just did it. Opening the door he saw her looking over what looked to be homework. “Hey,” he said quietly knowing he didn’t want to scare her too much. “Can I talk to you? Please?” Quinn nodded reassuring him that it was okay to be there. With that he made his way to the bed sitting down.
Quinn: What did you need to talk about Stiles?
Stiles: I was worried about you, you weren’t in class.
Quinn: I know, sorry. I had a doctor’s appointment.
Stiles: Well I kinda hope you are pregnant cause I bought it something.
Quinn: What is it, I want to see.
Stiles: Well first I want to know if you are or not.
Quinn: The doctors say I’m eight weeks.
Stiles: So you are?
Quinn: Yes. Apparently I am. Are you okay with that?
Stiles: Yeah i’m okay with that. Did you want to see what I bought?
Quinn: Yes! Of course I want to see it.
Stiles: [grabs the giraffe from behind him showing her] It’s not something huge but I figured if you where pregnant it would be cute or whatever for the baby. And it can be for a boy or a girl so that’s a plus right?
Quinn: I love it! And the baby will love it because it’s from it’s daddy.
Stiles: Quinn, I’m scared. I don’t know how to be a dad. My own dad is always working so I can’t just take advice from him can I? Cause I want to be around a lot.
Quinn: And you will be. Your dad did the best he could with what he had on his plate. And apparently he raised a really good son. One that’s owning up to the fact he has a child on the way. Stiles, you’ve got this. You’ll be a great dad. Promise.Smiling, Stiles leaned over to kiss her feeling that everything that she was saying was true. That he would be a great dad. “Can we cuddle or something now?” Quinn asked with a small smile on her face. Nodding, Stiles moved up and over on the bed giving the two of them room to cuddle. Quinn moved up laying her head onto his shoulder. They laid there for a while neither saying anything. Before Stiles knew it he could feel himself slowly falling to sleep.
There goes my baby(part: one of ?)
’Quinnie, are you pregnant?’ They were about the only words that Stiles had heard. He didn’t need to hear Quinn’s response to eating a taco at lunch, he knew she barley ate anything that afternoon. Feeling as if he couldn’t breath and his heart had dropped to his stomach, he slowly started to replay the past few months in his head - the hallway glances, when he realized he was in love with her, the road trip and the homecoming dance. His only real question was how. How could she be pregnant, they only had sex once? Realizing he doesn’t have any time to think he gets up and leaves without a word. Quinn never knowing he was there. Knowing he would have to talk to her about this the ride home was more dreadful then he thought. He didn’t like the idea of being a father, he knew he would step up but he couldn’t help but hope she wasn’t. Maybe her mom was just old and thinking things that weren’t real. The woman did drink a lot after all. By the end of the night all he knew was that he needed to talk to Quinn and find out the truth.
Stiles: Quinn, I think that we need—
Quinn: We need to talk. Why don’t you take things more seriously? You’re always joking around and trying to be the class clown. You told me when you changed schools all of that would go away. It hasn’t. I want a guy that is responsible. Not the life of the party.
Stiles: There’s nothing wrong with being the life of the party. Why can’t I be both serious and the life of the party? Just because you’re having a baby—
Quinn: What do you mean? I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Stiles: Don’t play dumb with me Quinn. I know what I heard last night. If you’re pregnant then I just want to know the truth. I want to be able to take care of you. And the baby if you are. And I can’t do that if I don’t know what’s going on.Quinn doesn’t want to answer. She doesn’t even know herself what is going on. Realizing she needs a minute she looks to Stiles wondering how their conversation went from him being more serious to if she’s pregnant. ‘I have to go’ she quickly says before getting up and leaving the cafeteria.
