Let us look past, for a moment, the problematic idea that Allison needs to be redeemed while Stiles and Derek don’t.
Because - the truth of the matter is that Allison hasn’t really done anything wrong. She was abused by her family and thrown into a war she hardly understands. She was told she was going to be a leader, but in the end, she was just a pawn by her grandfather. Her own mother’s suicide was used against her.
Allison’s actions need to be evaluated in this context. She was a damaged kid doing the best she could with what she had to work with.
Meanwhile her abusive father. Have we had any tweets about how he should have a redemption story line? I’m guessing no.
Because it’s so much more important to put the responsibility on the victim.
She does owe some apologies. Boyd, Erica, and Isaac—she owes them apologies, absolutely. But they’re the only people she needs forgiveness from and that’s because she shot them multiple times/stabbed them in the kidneys. Which. Scott and Stiles haven’t done. But.
The only thing that “vilified” Allison was the fucking fans. Darling girl doesn’t need a fucking redemption arc.
